Biography

Peter Douglas is a native of Dalton, Ohio (USA) and is currently pursuing a Master of Music Degree in Piano Performance from Ball State University (Muncie, IN). Peter studies under Dr. Raymond Kilburn. He is also a full-time graduate assistant at Ball State, working as dance accompanist, instrumental & vocal accompanist, and group piano instructor. Peter graduated summa cum laude from Baldwin Wallace University Conservatory of Music (Berea) with a Bachelor of Music degree in Piano Performance. His primary piano professor was Dr. Robert Mayerovitch, and he studied collaborative piano and chamber music with Dr. Sungeun Kim. Peter was the recipient of the Jacquelyn Jean Fynes Piano Scholarship at Baldwin Wallace. He has performed in masterclasses for renowned pianists including Nelita True, Donna Lee, Jenny Lin, and Spencer Myer. Peter’s past piano teachers include Dr. Joseph Satava, Dr. Maira Liliestedt, Dr. Brian Dykstra, and Mrs. Alberta Berg.

Peter is in high demand as a collaborative pianist performing with singers, instrumentalists, and ensembles throughout Ohio and Indiana. Peter has also served as assistant accompanist for the Baldwin Wallace Men’s Chorus and performs frequently with violinist partner, Krista Solars.

He is an active church musician recently serving as Music Director at Church of the Epiphany (Episcopal) in Euclid, OH and substitute pianist/organist at St. Mary Catholic Church in Wooster, OH. Currently, he is employed as a chorister at Grace Episcopal Church in Muncie, IN.
